Am Dienstag, den 5. Oktober, werde ich meine Arbeit "West" am Ort des Entstehens, in Trier West, zeigen. Ihr seid zur Eröffnung um 18 Uhr herzlich eingeladen.
Trier West is considered a focal point with high unemployment, many resulting from the former army barracks, public housing and a population with above average number of children.
Despite a variety of social problems Trier West but also a very lively area, not only because of its many young, restless people. Everyone knows everyone, keep families together and the residents love their neighborhood. The social life takes place on the street with the neighborhood. In the summer you sit in front of the house and chats with passers-by, the kids rush up with the bike down the street and greet and anyone who crosses their path.
two years I lived in Trierweilerweg in Trier West. During this time I documented the life and happenings in the road - or, rather, in the 150 meter section of road that I could from my window look.
