Sängerfest in Niedereisenhausen

Many choirs have accepted the invitation of the association. On Friday 18 choirs were in the program for Saturday at least another 15 choirs. The mansion was so jam-packed that many Sänger-/Innen to sit in the hall had and there could not hear much. Painfully embarrassing. Less would have been more.

Wir hatten uns für diesen Abend unter Klavierbegleitung von Achim das Lied "Venite populi" ausgesucht. Leider war kein Klavier da. Wieso denn nicht? Immerhin war es lange genug angekündigt, und auch im Programm war angekündigt "...unter Klavierbegleitung...". Peinlich-peinlich.

Kurzerhand sangen wir, sehr schön und gefühlvoll, "Die Rose". Als zweites Liedstück den Gospel "I want to go to heaven". Den Zuschauern schien unser Gesang gefallen zu haben und honorierte es mit vigorous applause.
